- White House
The official residence of the President of United States, White House is a place that tops the list of any tourist visiting the States. Located in the capital Washington D.C, it has been the home of U.S Presidents over two centuries. Built between the years 1792 AD to 1800 AD, White House has 132 rooms and is spanned over an area of 55,000 square-feet. Thousands of people visit the president’s palace everyday and leave awe struck by the magnificent and the truly fascinating architecture and interior of the place along with the history that has dwelt here for more than 200 years.
- Statue of Liberty
There is hardly anyone who is not aware of this extremely popular landmark of America. The statue of liberty in New York Harbor is one of the most visited places in States. Suggested by Edouard de Laboulaye, designed by Bartholdi and sculpted by Gustav Eiffel, the statue was a gift from France to America in on its independence. Inspired from the Roman goddess of freedom, the lady in the statue is a representation of her with torch and a tablet in hand where the date of American Declaration of Independence is inscribed. The statue has total height of 93 meters and there are 25 windows in the crow of the lady.
- Mount Rushmore
People recognize the Mount Rushmore or the President’s Mountain as the mountain where four faces American Presidents are carved into the mountain. Also known as Lakota Sioux, the presidents are George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln. The faces were sculpted by Gutzon Borglum and his son Lincoln Borglum, and each face is 60 foot. The sculpted mountain is a completely marvelously feat achieved and 90 percent of the presidents’ head were carved with the help of dynamite.
